Genuine Art is an art program separate from the school´s curriculum and is a gift made possible by the generosity of our parents and other talented people from our community – a gift that is offered to and mingles with our students´ imaginations and becomes something else again.

Each year Genuine Art starts out as an idea without form or boundaries. As the idea develops into a plan, Genuine Art unfolds before our very eyes. Parents guide the project through to the end, nurturing it through the twists and turns that it inevitably takes to get it to a point of completion and celebration.

This year our focus is on the art of printing. Each artist develops a project that enables the children and the artist to create an art piece together. In these art sessions, the children experiment with a variety of mediums and modalities under the supervision of parent volunteers.

Genuine Art brings us together for a cause, our scholarship program, giving us an opportunity to do something meaningful for others. It also brings us together to witness the blossoming of the creative process in our children.
