Application Process

We ask interested parents to observe a class in progress. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are set aside for this purpose. Observations begin in November. Call Kathy Jenco (973-966-9544) to schedule an appointment. OBSERVATIONS ARE FOR ADULTS ONLY.

When the decision to apply is made, complete an application form and return it to the school with the non-refundable application fee of $50.

Interviews are scheduled when an opening occurs. Admission decisions are made by the administration and teaching staff. These decisions are based upon an evaluation of the child's school visit and the needs of existing classes with regard to balance of age and sex.

If a place is not immediately available, you may wish to be placed on our wait list. Children on the waiting list for the current year must reapply for acceptance the following year. Application fees need be paid only once.

Parents of applicants accepted for admission will receive a contract which must be returned with a $750 deposit. Upon receipt of a tuition deposit, we will hold a place for your child in our program, and you will be contractually obligated for the year's tuition. (The school will forgive tuition after a withdrawal only if we are able to replace the student withdrawn with another child from the waiting list). Madison Montessori School admits students regardless of sex, race, religious beliefs or ethnic origin.
